Joining our team as an Apprentice Chef in the Star Culinary Institute (SCI) program, in partnership with a local high school, The Star Sydney is the perfect place to commence your apprenticeship. Recognised industry wide due to the variety of cooking and service styles you are exposed to over the program, we aim to provide you with the ingredients for success. When you bring professionalism, passion and a positive attitude, you'll enjoy learning the first-rate skills you need to be equipped with for a career in Culinary.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Follow the directions of the team supporting you
  • Ensure high levels of hygiene at all times
  • An eagerness for continuous learning and personal development

What are we looking for:

  • Currently completing senior level at a High School in the local Sydney area
  • Passionate and serious about a career in cooking
  • Good communication skills with a team player mentality
  • Natural creativity with a flair for flavour and ingredients
