About the role:
As our Workforce Planner, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a high-quality rostering process that balances operational needs with team member work/life balance, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented across our venues. Reporting to the Workforce Planning Senior Advisor, this role provides essential support to management by forecasting, planning, and aligning roster practices with company policy, The Star Enterprise Agreement and other awards.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Partner with business units and stakeholders to develop quality rostering processes that promote equity, predictability, and work/life balance.
- Operate within the Enterprise Agreement and company policies, ensuring roster patterns align with agreed standards.
- Collaborate with the administration team to adhere to key timeframes, including leave approvals and roster publication schedules.
- Monitor roster production progress, ensuring all assignments (leave, training, special requirements) are completed on time.
- Conduct regular audits of rostering processes, facilitating continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in large-scale hospitality or similar high-volume industries.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with rostering systems and workforce planning.
- Strong knowledge of roster optimisation techniques.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders to support operational excellence.
