Join our team as the Event Admin Coordinator at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The Events Admin Coordinator role reports directly to the Director of Events and offers an extraordinary opportunity to provide support to the Events department. You will work closely with various food & beverage leaders assisting with various administration duties and ensuring there is accurate communication between departments.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support including handling of incoming and outgoing mail, internal paperwork to support the Events Director.
- Coordinating and supporting the events team with account management within the events centre.
- Prepare confidential documents for company presentations and discussions, collect data, and compile ad-hoc and monthly reports for key stakeholders.
- Document accurate minutes at meetings and distribute minutes of the meeting in a timely manner to all relevant parties
- Responsible for the coordinated bookings for events The Star Brisbane organises, including ticket sales, floor plans, guest liaison and organising any special requirements.
What we will be looking for
- Previous and relevant experience or qualification in administrative functions and office practices.
- Experience in Hospitality, Food and Beverage is highly desirable.
- Relevant experience in providing high level administrative support.
- A high standard of personal and professional presentation
- Proven skills in using Microsoft office programmes, word, spreadsheets and presentation software packages.

You will be a confident communicator, both written and verbal, with experience collaborating with team members across the business and the leadership team. You are someone who thrives on interacting with team members, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and problem solve.
You will bring previous experience performing administrative tasks and have demonstrated experience.
