The Pastry Cook reports directly to the Pastry Sous Chef and offers an energetic and exciting hands-on approach to flawless product execution in an environment focused on safety and culinary excellence.

A few of your responsibilities

Minimum 1 year of experience in pastry or bakery preparation, preferably in a café, hotels or high-volume setting, with strong communication skills and understanding of relevant liquor laws.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
You are a versatile and adaptable pastry cook with a strong foundation in food preparation, able to seamlessly transition between different kitchen environments. With 2-3 years of experience in high-volume settings, you thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining a keen eye for detail and quality. Your exceptional communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management. You bring a proactive, positive attitude to every task and are committed to consistently delivering high standards.
Your role will be pivotal for The Star Sydney Pastry Kitchen’s success.
