Employee Relations Specialist - People & Performance

As our Employee Relations Specialist, reporting to the Employee Relations Consultancy Manager, you will manage high-risk/complex cases end to end and draw your experience to provide expert advice and guidance to ensure matters are resolved efficiently and professionally. This role is permanent full-time and offers hybrid working arrangements. Based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast!

 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • End to end management of high-risk complex cases.
  • Conduct confidential workplace investigations and support leaders with the management of team member grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Represent and advocate for The Star Entertainment Group in the Fair Work Commission and other industrial/employment-related tribunals or regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in Enterprise Agreement negotiations, bargaining, implementation and delivery.
  • Provide coaching and support to assist in developing the ER Advisors.
  • Support the ER Manager in identifying and actioning strategies to improve people's continuous practises and mitigate risk.
  • Provide stakeholders with specialist advice on policies, procedures, industrial instrument interpretation, employment risks and other high-risk/complex employment-related issues.
  • Provide SME advice on project work and ensure all policies, processes, and procedures adhere to current legislative obligations.

 

What we will be looking for:

  • Proven experience in ER within a fast-paced and complex organisation.
  • Solid knowledge of current workplace legislations, modern awards, and relevant regulations.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to influence business leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in case management, investigations and understanding of strict SLA’s.
  • Advocacy, EA bargaining, and employment law experience will be highly regarded.
